Santee, California

Santee is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. The city is named after Milton Santee, second husband of Jennie Blodgett, whose first husband was George A. Cowles, a ranching pioneer in the San Diego area. As of the 2006, Santee had a population of 54,709. On March 5, 2001, 15-year-old Charles Andrew Williams opened fire in a boys' bathroom at Santana High School in Santee. Two students died, and thirteen students were wounded. He plead guilty and was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison.
