Sheridan is a city in Yamhill County, Oregon, United States. The population was 3,570 at the 2000 census. The 2006 estimate is 5,785 residents. It was named in honor of the Civil War general Philip Henry Sheridan. General Sheridan was posted to Yamhill County at Fort Yamhill in the latter half of the 1850s.
