Syracuse is a city in Davis County, Utah, between the Great Salt Lake and Interstate 15, about 25 miles north of Salt Lake City. As of the 2000 census, the city population was 9,398 and by 2006 was estimated at 21,100 . The city grew rapidly during the 1990s; city officials estimate it continues to grow by 12% per year. Syracuse was incorporated on September 3, 1935.
