Worthington is a city in Franklin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 14,125 at the 2000 census. The city was founded in 1803 by the Scioto Company led by James Kilbourne, future member of the United States House of Representatives. The city was named in honor of Thomas Worthington, future governor of Ohio. Worthington is a northern suburb of Columbus, Ohio.
