Xenia is a city in Greene County, Ohio, near Dayton. The name comes from the Greek word Xenia , which means "hospitality". As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 24,164. It is the county seat of Greene County , which is named for Nathaniel Greene, the American Revolutionary War hero who led Lord Cornwallis into the trap at Yorktown.
