Kenedy, Texas

Kenedy is a city in Karnes County, Texas, United States. The population was 3,487 at the 2000 census. Kenedy is the site of the John Connally Unit, a state prison. On December 13, 2000, a group called the Texas 7 escaped from that prison. They would go on a deadly crime spree before being caught.
