For other places with the same name, see Lebanon . Lebanon is a city in Warren County, Ohio, United States. The population was 16,962 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Warren County . It was named after the Biblical Lebanon because of the many juniper or Eastern Redcedar trees there, similar to the Lebanon Cedar. It is known today as "The Cedar City". The name is officially pronounced LEH-buh-nihn, but is frequently pronounced "LEB-nuhn" by locals. . Although an old small town in its own right, it serves as a suburban bedroom community of Cincinnati and is increasingly looked at as a cheaper, less congested alternative to places like Mason.
