Price is a city in Carbon County, Utah, United States. The population was 8,402 at the 2000 census, and by 2004 it was estimated to have decreased to 8,197. Price is the county seat of, and largest city in, Carbon County . The city is home to the College of Eastern Utah, as well as the large prehistoric museum affiliated with the college. The city is located within short drives from Nine Mile Canyon and Manti-La Sal National Forest. Price is noted for its history as a mining town and its Greek/Catholic/Mormon split population.
