Shoreview, Minnesota

Shoreview is a city located in Ramsey County, Minnesota. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 25,924. Many Twin Cities-area broadcasters use Shoreview as a site for their transmitting antennas. KMSP channel 9 owns one tower reaching 1466 feet high, shared with WFTC, KTCA/KTCI, and ten FM radio stations. Another pair of towers nearby stand approximately 1437 feet tall and are co-owned by WCCO, KARE, and KSTP-TV, and are also used by WUCW. One tower collapsed there in 1971 while under construction, killing seven workers. The KMSP tower also claimed the life of a painter in 2001.
