Sunnyside, Washington

Sunnyside is a city in Yakima County, Washington, United States. The population was 13,905 at the 2000 census. Sunnyside is the birthplace of football coach Scott Linehan, the head coach of the NFL's St. Louis Rams. NASA astronaut Bonnie Dunbar graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1967. Scott Linehan graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1982. Rob_Thomas_ , the creator of CW's hit show Veronica Mars was born in Sunnyside. 1965 Baseball Player Todd Stottlemeyer was born in Sunnyside. Among these Richard "Dick" Goesinya was also born here. Dick was an all-state first team center for four years at Pride High School. He then went on to play for the Seattle Seahawks where he led them to a Super Bowl in the 05-06 season
