Wilder is a census-designated place and a unincorporated village in the town of Hartford, Windsor County, Vermont. It is home of the Wilder Dam located on the Connecticut River. Wilder is on the National Register as a Historic Village and is unique as an early planned community developed in part by Charles Wilder, owner of a local paper mill in the 1880's.
