Woodstock, Illinois

Woodstock is a city in McHenry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 20,151 at the 2000 census, and estimated to be 23,241 as of 2006. The Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission predicts the city will have a population of 30,522 in 2030. It is the county seat of McHenry County . It is the home of the historical Woodstock Opera House. Woodstock was named in 2007 as one of the nation's Dozen Distinctive Destinations 2007 by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
