ENGINEER I (GCS PROJECT ENGINEER)General Atomics Aeronautical Systems - San Diego, CAJJ611-6971 Assemble and test at the sub-system and system level state-of-the-art Ground Control Station (GCS) equipment used in the flight control of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Test and troubleshoot prototype cabling and computer hardware in a lab or field environment. Interface with Engineering personnel in the testing and evaluation of prototype electronic hardware and work with Manufacturing personnel in the testing of production GCS hardware. Travel is required for GCS system field installation and test at the customer's facility. B.S. in Engineering or related technical field with 0-2 years engineering experience. Must be familiar with basic mechanical and electrical design concepts. Knowledge of Ethernet, serial (RS-232 and RS-422) and audio/video equipment a plus.
