Host Family (Volunteer)
Offering the warmth and nurturing of a loving home, host families of Mending Kids International support the child through the ordeal of their surgeries. These children travel to the US through donated air miles with a MKI transporter and handed off to an MKI approved host family. Most children through MKI come with out a parent due to many reasons - those parents that are able to come MKI has provided a home to stay in Santa Clarita named Robins Nest.
Host families supply food, clothes and incidentals, and act as surrogate families, giving the children emotional and moral support in and out of the hospital.
