The project involves the Department of Justice Environmental and Natural Resources Division (ENRD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), The Army Corps of Engineers (ACE), and the US Attorneys Offices (USAO) in Tucson, AZ, San Diego, CA, and McAllen TX. The subject matter is the federal Secure Border Initiative (SBI). Candidates will work to prepare/file any number of temporary Rights of Entry (ROE) filings to initiate permanent takings cases for property required to build a border fence between Mexico and the U.S. In addition, studies must be conducted by the ACE before recommendations are made regarding the location of the fences.
