Specialized post-secondary training equal to two years of college. Registration required by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), including the RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, under the ARDMS) for cardiac specialties. ARDMS registry Required. CPR certification Required. Some On Call coverage Required. Two year hospital experience Preferred. Excellent communication skills and patient care skills required. Being able to work independently and as part of a team required. experience in invasive procedures preferred. Flexibility and dependability required.
