Responsible for designing mechanical fixtures to interface with aircraft mechanical hard points. Detailed engineering required for precision tolerance build-up calculations/design. Design tasks include basic requirements analysis, solid modeling design, trade studies, design analysis, drafting, and tolerance analysis. Tasks may include mechanism development, theoretical calculations, prototyping, packaging, determining reliability quality levels and/or performance, preparation of specifications, material tests, and research investigations as required.
