Transocean - Houston, TXBASIC FUNCTION : The Senior Engineering Specialist is based in the Newbuild Services group to assist on major electrical issues on the drilling equipment, diesel generator tests, thrusters and main marine systems equipment. The position requires the individual to proactively work to aid the company in reducing equipment downtime, evaluating major equipment failures. The position requires close work relationships with the main equipment suppliers to solve equipment problems and to develop and implement upgrades. Facilitates the lessons learned process on equipment failures by clearly communicating the solutions to all applicable rigs in the fleet.
