QinetiQ North America's Technology Solutions Group has a job opening for a full-time Systems Architect in the Monterey, CA Office. The successful candidate will support the Primary Oceanographic Prediction System (POPS) at the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (Fleet Numerical), Monterey, CA. Specific duties include: Providing systems architecture, analysis, planning, and acquisition support. This work will include working with Fleet Numerical subject matter experts in Information Technology, Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP), and Satellite data feeds, to create a high-level plan for the production supercomputer system. Developing a Tape Back-up/Archive Storage Plan. This work involves recommending hardware, software, networks, CONOPS, and other components as necessary.
