VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR/INSTRUCTOR, Physics (2/3 Part-Time)
Spring 2010 Semester Sabbatical Leave Replacement
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Physics or related field is required for appointment as an Assistant Professor. ABD (desired) or Masters Degree in Physics or related area required for appointment as Instructor. Teaching experience in introductory courses Physics is a plus. We seek a colleague who is committed to teaching in a liberal arts environment and has academic experience with culturally diverse populations. The successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to teaching excellence.
Description: Teaching responsibilities emphasize first year General Physics or Physics for Life Science. Teaching load is 8 hours/semester, with courses carrying 4 hours credit and laboratories 2 hours credit. Evening teaching responsibilities are possible.
