S/He will review/monitor balances during the month for risk, to detect errors and ensure the balances are current and valid/adequately supported. The role also ensures that actions are taken to keep balances accurate and current, performs reconciliations, and oversees compliance with all regulations to ensure proper accounting and strong internal controls, i.e. primarily GAAP.
