G.I Technician
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current BLS certification
- Acute care experience
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of asepsis, surgical techniques
The G.I. Technician, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, will assume responsibility for preparing patients for and assisting physicians with all endoscopic procedures and associated therapeutic modalities. The G. I. Technician assembles and helps to maintain highly technical equipment such as endoscopes and their accessories, the automatic endoscope washer, the E.R.C.P cart, and procedure room set up. The G.I. Technician assists with clerical duties such as scheduling procedures, ordering lab work or Radiology studies, and completing billing procedures. The G.I.
