Research Specialist, LeadEmory University - Atlanta, GAIn collaboration with the Emory University Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Center, our laboratory is developing PET imaging agents (i.e. radioactive chemicals) to be used for mapping different pathological markers in the brains of patients with dementia (such as Alzheimers Disease). A research specialist with the ability to perform in vitro and in vivo radioligand binding experiments (detection by autoradiography or disintegration counting), immunochemical assays, protein purification with affinity methods, and antibody development. Secondary methods that might be employed depending on the results include recombinant gene manipulation, cell culture, and fluorescence-based measurements using platereaders.
