Residential Care CounselorLifespan - East Providence, RIThe Residential Care Counselor provides direct care of to child psychiatric patients in a our main campus based residential treatment center. This is a co-ed, 14 bed unit with boys and girls ages 5-12. Bachelor's Degree in Human Services. Direct care mental health experience with children preferred. Bradley Hospital Safety Care Certification: Employees in this position work in a psychiatric setting under stressful conditions associated with care of psychiatrically impaired, aggressive, and sometimes, self-injurious individuals. Employees are expected to utilize de-escalation techniques taught by Bradley Hospital to minimize need for physical intervention.
