We are the civilian, all volunteer arm of the United States Coast Guard with nearly 30,000 members. We provide safety patrols on area waterways, and we meet regularly with the boating public at marinas and classrooms. We also perform search and rescue missions, port security, and marine environmental protection activities. The services we provide are varied, and often require no nautical experience. For example, we have a Language Corp. that provides interpreters to the U.S. Coast Guard.
