Human Resources SpecialistUnited States Department of Veterans Affairs - Dayton, OHThe incumbent of this position serves as Specialist for the Human Resources Staffing Program. The incumbent must be highly trained in the laws, Federal and agency regulations specific to Human Resources: Title 38 and Title 5 Staffing; H-1B and J-1 Visa and permanent resident programs. Extensive knowledge of immigration laws and policies is necessary to ensure correct completion of complex forms. The incumbent will also train HRMS staff members on immigration laws and practices and oversee the non-citizen program. Coordinates all phases of visa work permit processes with Department of Homeland Security, Department of State, Department of Labor and VA representatives to ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation.
