Dental Hygienist - Evening HoursThundermist Health Center - Woonsocket, RIGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Performs dental measures designed to preserve teeth and prevent the spread of oral diseases by performing the following duties. Clinical 1. Educates patients in dental oral hygiene 2. Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath gums. 3. Feels and visually examines gums for signs of disease 4. Applies fluoride and other cavity preventing agents 5. Exposes and develops x-ray film 5. Makes impressions, removes sutures and dressings 6. Administers local anesthetic agents 7. Provides sealants 8. Responsible for infection control, including cleaning instruments and equipment, etc. Administrative 1. Makes chart notes 2. Completes referrals to community providers 3.
