Pay per click on Google, online ads, print ads, direct mail and more. They want prospects to visit their website and then call, fill out a form, to do something to identify themselves. A few do so. Many visited the website but remained anonymous. They exist only as lists of IP addresses. Worthless. Sales reps also do direct prospecting, making calls and sending out emails. Some prospects will visit the website and call. Most will visit and then nothing. Silence is not golden. Noise is. Let's say the rep sends out 100 emails.
