Deputy Sheriff I

Performs basic, full-time Deputy Sheriff duties in accordance with federal, state, county and departmental regulations. Performs basic confinement work in the care, custody and transportation of prisoners at the Fairfax County ADC. Works a twelve-hour rotating shift schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D. issued by a state department of education. Must be at least 21 (or within 180 days of 21st birthday at time of application) and a U.S. citizen.
