NY: Communications/New Media Internship/Externship (Volunteer)
The non-profit Disaster Accountability Project (DAP), is looking for interns/externs for Fall '09, Spring '10 and/or Summer '10 to assist with high-level communications ranging from rapid response press releases, media list building, newsletter development and writing, and regular blog, twitter, Facebook and other social media engagement.
Duties can include any of the following:
Work with senior and other program staff to develop weekly rapid response communications
grow and maintain organization media list
develop, write, and edit a bimonthly newsletter
develop regular Disaster Accountability Blog content
coordinate organizations social media activities on Facebook, Twitter, and other mediums.
