PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (Radiology Service)United States Department of Veterans Affairs - Dallas, TXThis Physician Assistant performs initial histories and physical examinations on inpatients and outpatients. Orders appropriate laboratory tests, X-rays, EKGs and non-invasive diagnostic tests. Writes evaluations and progress notes in the patients record, and accumulates, correlates and presents the data to the physician responsible for the patient, both for initial and follow-up visits. Draws blood specimens for testing and performing other comparable laboratory procedures, as needed. Formulates and recommends tentative diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic regimens for the physicians consideration, including possible hospitalization.
