Although an advanced degree in biology is not absolutely required, extensive experience working in a biological framework is necessary. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary. The applicant must have a clear record of both initiative and collaborative skills. Also required are extensive bioinformatics and programming skills, particularly in the areas of Perl, Unix Linux, relational databases, gene and sequence analysis, RNA profiling analysis and related disciplines, statistics and application to design of experiments and analysis.
