Physician Coder IiMiami Children's Hospital - Miami, FL* High School/GED * JOB SUMMARY Works under the direction of the Coding Supervisor. The physician Radiology coder is responsible for timely review of patient records in order to identify an appropriate selection of codes which will accurately reflect the reason for admission, extent of care received, and level of severity of illness. The coder is further responsible for insuring that all data elements required for federal and state reporting are collected and included in the patients demographic record. Codes, sequences and abstracts diagnoses and procedures for all radiology (Physician Radiology) in accordance with ICD-9-CM, CPT, and AMA guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.
