The Nurse Aide is responsible for assigned patient care tasks under the direct supervision of licensed care providers. Transports medications and requests to and from Pharmacy/Nurse on a non-routine basis when necessary. One-year nurse assistant experience is preferred. Certified Nurse Assistant required for nurse aides hired after 1995 (unless they are currently enrolled in a LVN or RN program and have completed the fundamentals of nursing course or have a current CA LVN or RN license). BLS required. AB508 required within 3 months of hire. Existing CVHP employees with current CPI certification will be grandfathered in until renewal at which time they must obtain AB508 certification. Current FPH employees without CPI certification have until May 31, 2013 to obtain AB508 certification.
