Home Based: We are seeking a data manager to help up find, organize, upload, and configure a huge amount of data. This involves the research, documentation and management of metadata (variable definitions, data sources, etc), preparing data for upload to our servers, uploading the data, configuring the data once it has been imported into our database, and testing the data to make sure that the process was done correctly. The position also involves helping us find new data sets. The data we manage is geographic in nature (such as census data, consumer expenditure data, business locations, etc.), and we have to upload and configure each data set on an annual basis.
