Serve as the lead technician in the chemical process by which batches of the explosive, PETN, are qualified for War Reserve applications. This assignment will require working in chemical processing areas handling large quantities of solvents, following established safety procedures. This technician will also serve as the custodian for DE-1 explosives inventory. The technician will also help operate, maintain, modify and design programmatic equipment; write, manage, and help prioritize facility service requests; maintain a master equipment list and track currency of maintenance and calibration; and monitor sumps and order them pumped out when required.
