Community Events and Outreach Volunteer
Become an advocate for local volunteering! At Volunteer Alexandria, our mission is to inspire and motivate people to volunteer. One way we accomplish that mission is to educate the public about the opportunities and benefits of volunteering. We frequently attend the farmers market, volunteer fairs, and other community events to distribute information and talk about our programs. With a very small staff, we are looking for a few volunteers who can represent Volunteer Alexandria at events as they come up. Training will be provided. It is a great way to share your personal story about volunteering and help others get engaged in their own inspiring volunteer projects. Upcoming events include the West End Farmers Market and the Red Cross Waterfront Festival.
