The August Wilson Center for African American Culture (formerly known as the African American Cultural Center of Greater Pittsburgh) is a world-class cultural center housed in a 65,000-square-foot complex in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With four exhibition galleries, a theater, an education center, a caf, a gift shop, and multipurpose rental spaces available for community programs and events, the August Wilson Center (AWC) joins a select few African American cultural institutions across the country presenting performing and visual arts, humanities and educational programs in a truly state-of-the-art venue.
