Inpatient PsychiatristDepartment of Veterans Affairs - Los Angeles, CAVA Greater Los Angeles HealthCare System (GLA) seeks a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Psychiatrist for its Inpatient Psychiatrist Department and 90-bed inpatient psychiatry service. The Psychiatrist will be stationed primarily Inpatient Department and will collaborate with other personnel, inpatient psychiatrists, Mental Health (MH) nurses, and social workers to deliver MH care to veterans presenting to the ED, including admission to psychiatric wards and transition to other settings as needed. The outcome to be achieved is guideline-concordant care for common MH problems including depression, anxiety, traumatic disorders, alcohol & substance abuse that may be of sufficient severity to warrant hospitalization.
