Desktop Support Specialist IIJoslin Diabetes Center - Boston, MAThe Desktop Support Specialist II will provide desktop technology support for a large Research and Clinical Medical Center. * Installs and configures new computer systems, printers and connections to network. * Diagnoses and troubleshoots hardware, software, and connectivity issues. * Configure network access for remote locations and portable systems. * Installs and configures peripheral components. * Assists researchers and clinicians with interfacing laboratory instrumentation to computing equipment. * Coordinates with Center staff, as well as hardware and software manufacturers to automate data collection processes. * Provides training in basic computer skills to new users when needed. * Documents and updates work orders in call tracking system to ensure all orders are completed...
