Work with sales people to understand closing percentages and new appointment percentages. Monitor sales peoples activity and sales throughout the month to make sure sales goals are achieved. Set criteria for what is actually an appointment, a prospecting call, a networking call etc. all are important parts of the process but we need to be conscious of keeping a good mix of all and be honest with ourselves as to what type of sales activity are actually being conducted during the day. Establish an expectation of minimum first appointments. One which will help sales people establish goals.
