Music TherapistChildren's National Medical Center - Washington, DCDevelops, implements, and evaluates a music therapy program for patients receiving care from the Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. Fosters positive and professional interpersonal relationships with patients/families, physicians, hospital staff, community representatives and visitors. Effectively uses interpersonal communication skills to promote a healing environment. Master's degree in music therapy from an accredited program with one year post Masters experience as a music therapist; however, a bachelor's degree in music therapy from an accredited program combined with two years of experience as a music therapist may be substituted. Experience with children, adolescents, and young adults, and experience working with patients with life-threatening or complex illnesses preferred.
