Peri-Operative Nurse EducatorSt. Mary's Medical Center - San Francisco, CAThe Peri-op Nurse Educator is an RN who functions under the direction of the OR Director to educate staff with regard to their role in quality patient care at St. Mary's Medical Center in the surgical services department. The Peri-op Nurse Educator is responsible for the assessment of the OR staff's educational needs and for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs in congruence with teaching and collaborating. The Peri-op Nurse Educator also acts as an educational and clinical resource to the directors, managers and staff. The Peri-op Nurse Educator assists with coordinating performance improvement projects along with developing and implementing orientation and training materials such as but not limited to novice nurse peri-op training program.
