Asante, Jr., award winning writer and producer of 500 Years Later. The Black Candle is the first of its kind film about Kwanzaa and serves as a prism to explore the African American experience. The film is narrated by Dr. Maya Angelou and includes commentary from Dead Prez, Chuck D, Jim Brown, Maulana Karenga and more The Community Outreach Interns primary responsibility will be to initiate calls and provide information to Kwanzaa facilitators on incorporating the film in their upcoming Kwanzaa celebrations.
