Plan Your Own Fundraiser! (MCPS SSL Approved)Autism Speaks (approved SSL Mcps) - Rockville, MDThe success of Walk Now for Autism Speaks is greatly dependent on the dedication and support of volunteers. The vast majority of our volunteers organize their own walk teams and hold small community fundraisers?pizza sales, car washes, ?dog washes,? etc. (in a public location with an adult supervisor) to raise funds for autism research. In addition, to reduce costs and dedicate more funds to autism research, Walk Now for Autism Speaks will rely on volunteers to assist in many capacities - checking in participants, providing encouragement at water stops and cleaning up after the event. We encourage our youth volunteers to take the initiative to plan their own event and can guide them through the planning process.
