REGISTERED NURSE (DETOX) (2 POSITIONS: FT & PT)City of Alexandria - Alexandria, VAResponsible for assessment, monitoring and providing medical coordination for up to 22 consumers detoxing from various abused substances. The Detox RN assesses the consumers medical and mental health at admission and coordinates with the consulting doctor, psychiatrist, emergency room and other health care providers to develop a treatment plan for the safe detoxification of the consumer. The Detox RN administers and monitors medication, provides case management services, health education and crisis intervention to consumers with mental illness and/ or substance abuse disorders. Provides teaching and feedback to counseling staff in monitoring consumers.
