Director of PhilanthropyOakland University - Rochester, MIPosition Purpose: Oversee and direct the fund raising activities for the School of Medicine ; primarily a major/planned giving officer reporting to the Vice President for University Relations. The office will be located in the School of Medicine, and the Director of Philanthropy will be a member of the Dean's leadership team. The Director of Philanthropy must possess a thorough knowledge of fund raising vehicles, demonstrated major gift experience, knowledge of planned giving, and campaign experience, as well as the ability to interact and communicate professionally and manage the entire fund raising process for the unit in order to obtain private support at the highest level possible. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
