LEGAL INDEX EDITORBna - Arlington, VAPOSITION OVERVIEW: BNA, a wholly employee-owned publisher of legal and regulatory information, seeks a Legal Index Editor to create andmaintain indexes and taxonomies for BNA legal products. RESPONSIBILITIES: Read and abstract information of varying complexity and write concise summaries utilizing key words and phrases; assign index headings and cross-references; compile indexes; update existing indexes; categorize stories in BNA online systems; and construct and apply taxonomies for BNA legal products. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum two years of experience in legal indexing and taxonomy construction and application desired; excellent verbal and written communication skills and thorough knowledge of punctuation, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary required.
