Maintain inventory, on local lines, for the division at a level to improve turns yet still give the highest possible level of customer service. Perform the adequate return or disposal of dead stock, special or custom items, which have been refused by our customers. Buy products for assigned lines and create transfers within divisions when permitted. Review stock on hand on a regularly scheduled basis. Follow-up on vendor backorders in a timely manner. Verify cost, case packs, colors, size and any miscellaneous information on special order items prior to placing the purchase order with vendors.
