Physician (Hospitalist) - newThe South Texas Veterans Healthcare System is recruiting for a Staff Physician (Hospitalist). The General Medicine Hospitalist Staff Physician will serve as admitting officer of the day (AOD) for the Medical Service and provide comprehensive care for Medical Service patients who have illnesses within the scope of General Internal medicine. In addition to direct patient care, the physicians may have responsibilities in resident and medical student education and evaluation, and other administrative, research, and scholarly activities. Hospitalists will spend a variable amount of time as the primary attending physician on one of the Internal Medicine teaching services.
